RSS Roof Safety Systems fall protection for pitched roof

RSS is a collective fall protection system for both flat and pitched roofs (suitable for roofs with a roof pitch from 0 to 60°). The lightweight aluminum fencing can be hooked to the roof edge and is supported by a post against the facade. The RSS fall protection system does not damage the facade and does not rest on the ground.

Characteristics RSS fall protection sloped roof:

  • For pitched roofs with a roof pitch of up to 60°.
  • The RSS fall protection pitched roof can be used in many situations: roof edge protection for pitched roofs, but can also be used as roof edge protection for a flat roof!
  • Even suitable for a roof edge with an overhang of up to 1 metre.
  • Wide and narrow eaves, mast gutters (semi-round gutters) and gutters.
  • Can even be used with obstacles on the ground or in the facade.
  • Very quick and easy to (dis)assemble.
  • Made of high quality aluminum, very light.
  • Post adjustable in height, rests against the facade.
  • Reversible fence.
  • Good stackable and therefore easy to transport.
  • The weight of the system (stanchion, fence, toe board and hook bracket) is 9.4 Kg per linear metre.

RSS roof edge protection stands for safety. For example, all systems comply with the lifting standard (25 Kg) and are certified by Aboma.

Recently RSS for pitched roofs has achieved the safety standard according to EN 13374 class C. This is the highest standard in Europe for fall protection systems.

How does the RSS System work?

The system is mounted in the gutter in three simple steps:

  1. Every 3 meters a post is placed in the gutter and fixed. For this, a gas spring is integrated in the stanchion.
  2. Then the handrail is clicked into the stanchion.
  3. Then the toe board is hung under the railing and everything is ready for use.

In the event of a fall, force is generated on the fence. This force is absorbed by the stanchion, which is supported against the facade. In addition, the system is connected to the roof construction at a roof pitch of 30°. The load on the gutter is minimal!
